HarpSight — Privacy Policy
Effective date: 21 September 2026
HarpSight teaches harpists to read sheet music. It is made to keep everything you do in it on your own device.
What HarpSight collects
Nothing. HarpSight has no accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no server. It does not use the internet at all, and it sends no information about you or your use of the app to us or to anyone else.
The microphone
When Harp mode is on, and while the tuner or the Microphone screen is open, HarpSight listens through your device's microphone to hear which string of your harp you played and how well it is tuned. The sound is analysed on your device as it arrives and is then discarded. It is never recorded, never saved and never sent anywhere. Android asks your permission before the microphone is used, and you can turn it off at any time in the app or in your device's settings.
What stays on your device
Your profiles, progress, practice time and settings are stored only in the app's own storage on your device. HarpSight does not back them up to any cloud service, and they are deleted when you uninstall the app.
Purchases
HarpSight offers one optional one-time purchase, Etude. It is sold and processed entirely by Google Play. We never see your payment details; the app only receives Google Play's confirmation that the purchase was made, and keeps that on your device.
What we do not do
- No selling or sharing of personal data.
- No ads, no analytics and no tracking of any kind.
- No access to contacts, location, camera or files.
- No recordings: the microphone is heard, never kept.
Children
HarpSight does not collect personal information from anyone, of any age.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is published here and the effective date above changes with it.
